Starting at 9am 'til we drop on Saturday night, then we do it again on Sunday. Come for just one day, or both days. $40/day on Sat & Sun = torch time, friends, food, networking, sharing of new techniques/products, door prizes, and whatever else you can think of!
We have eleven torch stations and a variety of torches to share. Torching, sharing, networking... Bring techniques, questions, show and tell... Bring your latest book/magazine, new glass... to share... request a demo, do a demo... ... if we're 11+ we take turns at the torch throughout the day/night... we do, we learn, we watch, we visit, we have a great time! It's always a friendly mix of veterans and newbies. Any level of glass working experience welcome... and a good time with all!
Bring your flameworking glasses, and any glass or tools that you'll want to work with. We have studio tools that you're welcome to use. Bring your own torch if you wish (if you have quick-connects). Bring questions and techniques to share.
~~ And if you'd like: bring something/anything to add to the door-prize pile.
Metalworking, we have a hydraulic press, polishing lathe, vises, rolling mill, and assorted bracelet mandrels. We also have an area setup for silversoldering, braising, annealing, etc. There is also a pickle pot, a silversmiths acetelyene torch, and a oxy/propane smith little torch.
Please bring your own favorite jewelry pliers, hammers and small tools (as we have very few student pliers, or hammers). Please also bring your own metals, both sheet and wire.
POT LUCK, both days please, and thank you! Bring your favorite dishes to share! We'll provide coffee, teas, water, and treats. We have a kitchen with range and microwave for cooking and reheating. If you are a member of Lampwork Etc. Get the ball rolling, and post your RSVPs (and your pot luck contribution plans) on the Lampwork Etc. - Classes Get Togethers thread!
