We are also metalsmiths, and have been working our glass into more traditional jewelry designs set in strerling silver, and other metals.

Virginia's studies include work at the School of Visual Arts, Alfred University, Corning, Maine College of Art, and University of Southern Maine. Both Ed and Virginia have worked extensively at Haystack; Virginia has studied with Dale Chihuly, Lino Tagliapietra, Flora Mace, Joey Kirkpatrick, Bill Daley and Joe Furguson; both have studied with Dudley Giberson, Susie Shapiro, Andrew Magdanz, and Brian Kirkvliet. Ed also designs and builds glass studio tools and equipment, and his diverse skills include both traditional and digital photography, and website design and development. Their work is in private and public collections, including two Maine Percent for Art commissions.

Playing with Fire! - Glassworks & Gallery

We have closed down our Rockland Main street Studio and Gallery, where we worked from 2006-2018. We have recently built and equipped a new, and somewhat smaller flame working studio. Our studio is fully equipped to work in soft glass, and in borosilicate glass.

The studio is also setup for metalworking, mostly for more traditional forms of jewelry. Much of our jewelry features some of our glasswork combined with Sterling Silver, and other nonferrous metals.

We offer 1 on 1 instruction on many areas of flame working.
